OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS

Blackpool Tower

On December 18th, 2022, TLA showcased an extraordinary performance at the iconic Blackpool Tower. Eight performers, including six students and two staff members, delivered stunning solos and duets that left the audience in awe. The entire team had a fantastic day, with the performers shining brighter than the famous illuminations!

Street Dance Competitions

2022 - Iconic Competition
TLA's Street Dance Crews, Origin and Genesis, joined forces to compete in their third national street dance competition, Iconic. Their collaborative effort earned them an impressive 2nd place in the group category, along with 10 additional trophies for various solo and duet performances.

February 2020 - Calling U Out
In February 2020, TLA's Street Dance Crew, Origin, made their debut at the national street dance competition "Calling U Out." They excelled, securing 1st place in their category and winning numerous trophies in the solo and duet sections.

Leeds Modern Dance Society

Building on their award-winning performance at "Calling U Out" 2020, Origin performed alongside TLA's Contemporary Dance Group at the University of Leeds. This invitation was extended by the Leeds Modern Dance Society (LMDS), who had been fundraising for TLA throughout the year. LMDS's efforts funded four scholarships, giving four more children the chance to dream, perform, and achieve. A heartfelt thank you to LMDS!

DNA on Tour

On October 15th, TLA graduates toured their production of Denis Kelly's DNA to The Grammar School at Leeds. The performance received such acclaim that TLA has been invited back for future performances upon completion of their next piece.

London's West End Starletts

On April 8th, 2018, TLA performed at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End. The event featured 23 performers, 5 staff members, and numerous supportive family and friends. TLA students delivered outstanding performances, making the event a memorable experience for everyone involved.
